I'm having an issue with the ContentIndexState on one of my databases.
We lost power and one of the mailbox servers went offline and the passive database didn't activate. Long story short it seems there was an issue with the database and we got that resolved.
I forced the database to mount on the system but the ContentIndexState says "Failed": Catalog is dismounted externally for database {...............}.
I have tried this: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/exchange2010/thread/1b1e92e8-72fc-4ee6-9e65-54d2cb611dbf with no luck. This is on the active database so the "Update-mailboxdatabasecopy -CatalogOnly" doesn't really apply I believe.
So this is failed on all servers and wondering how to fix it?
