User unable to set OOF in Outlook and in OWA

Hi all, here's a challenging one for you guys and gals.

I'm running Exchange 2010 (version 14.1 build 218.15). All clients are running Outlook 2010. One particular user cannot set her Out of Office using either Outlook 2010, or OWA. All other users can set OOF properly using either Outlook or OWA.

1. When she tries in Outlook, she gets this error:

Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later.

2. When she tries in OWA, she gets this error:

The process failed to get the correct properties.

3. When I log on to ECP using an admin account (with full access to everyone's mailboxes), use Manage Another User, select the user, try to access Automatic Replies, I get the same error "The process failed to get the correct properties."

4. I used testexchangeconnectivity to test Web Services/OOF/autodiscovery. It worked for a user who is having no problems, but for this particular user, I get the following results:

 Creating and deleting items in a test folder to confirm synchronization changes.
  Synchronization changes were confirmed successfully.
  
 Test Steps
 Items are being created and deleted in a test folder to confirm notification events.
  ExRCA received the expected notification events for the actions performed in the test.
  
 Test Steps
 Appointments are being created and deleted in the user's calendar to confirm the user's availability.
  User availability was confirmed successfully.
  
 Test Steps
 Setting and retrieving user OOF settings.
  ExRCA failed to set and retrieve user Automatic Reply (OOF) settings.
  
 Test Steps
  
 Getting user Automatic Replies (OOF) settings and confirming them against expected values.
  ExRCA failed to retrieve and confirm user OOF settings.
  
 Additional Details
  ErrorItemNotFound: The specified object was not found in the store.

5. Tried using get-mailboxautoreplyconfiguration:

get-mailboxautoreplyconfiguration user@contoso.com
The process failed to get the correct properties.
    + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (0:Int32) [Get-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration], ObjectNotFoundException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 72C1BDAC,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.StoreTasks.GetMailboxAutoReplyConfiguration

6. Tried disabling mailbox, ran clean-mailboxdatabase, reconnected the mailbox and get same error messages.

I have run out of ideas.
