Remote user can't access their voicemal through the Lync Client. Internally we have no problems. On the Exchnage I get this message:
"The UM server has been configured to automatically use the Communications Server Audio/Video Edge resources associated with 'lync.pool.local:5061'. Inbound and outbound calls involving remote users (located outside the enterprise) might be failing using the current Communications Server Audio/Video Edge resources. To correct the issue, set the SIPAccessService property using the Set-UMServer cmdlet. The Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging service will start using the Communications Server Audio/Video Edge resources corresponding to the new value."
I read some blogs and used the Get-UMserver command to see if SIPAccessService value was set.
When I ran the command, it just returned the Name of the UM server and dial plans.
So I ran the command Set-UMServer ExchangeUMServer -SIPAccessServiceedgeinternal.domain.local:5062 then restarted the UM Service
Still does not work from an External User. How do I see the SIPAccessService value because it still does not display after I ran the command.
Internally everything is fine. The clients and phones work fine through a VPN. An external client can call anyone except the AA and SA. It fails with a Network error. I checked the Firewall (Cisco ASA) and I do not see any deny in the logs to the client or from the server.
Any help would be appreciated. We have been in Production server months and all is well. This UM issue was just recently discovered.
Thank you
Steve
