Send As Automatic replies going to "Send As" person NOT the original senders address

Hi all.

I have a PA who is sending a company wide email via "Send As" permissions from her Director which all works fine. The PA has her address as the Reply person however, if a users Automatic Reply (Out of office) is set then the auto-response gets set to the director and not the PA.. 

I'm assuming the Automatic Replies isn't intelligent enough to understand that all replies are going to the PA and just reads that the email is from the Director so sends the automatic response there..

Is this true? And is there a way to send all Automatic Replies to the PA?
