Exchange 2010 Managed Folder Assistant

I have Exchange 2010 SP1 on W2K8 R2 Enterprise. I recently created some policy tags and associated them with a retention policy. I added my mailbox to the policy. A day later it appeared the policy had not processed my mailbox as items that should have been deleted were not. So, I then tried running "Start-ManagedFolderAssistant –Identity" using my mailbox by name (e.g. Start-ManagedFolderAssistant –Identity myname@company.com) and the policies ran and worked! So, my question is, do I need to run the "Set-MailboxServer <NAMEOFSERVER> -ManagedFolderWorkCycle 1" to get this to work for all mailboxes with policy tags? Do I only need to run this once, or if I add more mailboxes to existing policies or add more tags to existing policies will I need to run this command again?
