Silly Question.
Exchange 2010 BPA keeps alerting me that I need more ram in my Exchange 2010 Server.
It's a physical server, with Windows 2008 R2, 2 x 6-Core HT processors and 24GB RAM, running just the OS and Exchange (All Roles) for 65 mailboxes, 3 Mailbox databases with DAG and CasArray setup.
My question is why? Is it looking at the Logical Processors, i.e. 24 due to Hyperthreaded Processors, or the 12 physical cores.
I have not found any article that states whether you should do the 2GB per physical or logical, and have always assumed Physical Cores.
If it's physical, then why is BPA telling me 2GB per core is recommended?
Thanks for helping me clear this up.
