I have 3 CAS servers behind a NLB, CAS1 CAS2 CAS3 and I want to retire CAS1. I have removed CAS1 from the NLB a week ago.
For testing I disconnect CAS1 from the network. When checking a delivery report on a couple of messages sent 2 days ago I get the error "The log search service was unavailable on server 'CAS1'" but not on all messages sent 2 days ago. Outlook client was connected to the CAS array host when the message was sent but CAS1 was still on line.
I connect CAS1 back to the network I get the delivery report.
Help?
