I have Exchange 2010. I am building a web-facing program that will be accepting sales, then sending confirmation emails using a service mailbox. Customers will input an email address and the application will process several criteria before sending a confirmation email, to the customer, that the sale is complete. There is a chance that customers will input an invalid email address and a NDR will be sent back to the service mailbox.
I can manually check the service mailbox for NDRs, but I would instead like to generate a report with a list of all the NDRs for that service mailbox. Management wants to see a list of NDRs on an hourly, daily or weekly basis. The goal is to have visibility into failed confirmation emails, so that they can be responded to quickly.
Is it possible to generate a list of NDRs for a particular mailbox? I'd prefer an automated process, but I'll settle for the ability to generate a list of NDRs manually.
Does anyone have any other ideas to easily get NDRs without giving mailbox access to the service mailbox? I understand that sending NDRs to Public Folders is not supported in Exchange.
