Exchange 2010 Seeding a new Passive Copy - Database White Space

Hi, My exchange platform is Exchange 2010 SP2 RU4 on /Hosting Mode. We have 12 Large Databases (each 250GB) size. We are currently on one site (Primary Site). Primary Site has 1 Active and 1 Passive copy for each database. We are in the process of setting up DR Site (across WAN) and hence having to create a new Passive copy at the secondary site. Most of the database have 14 days of "Deleted Items (Dumpster)" which occupies about 85% of the DB size. So, the real data in each Database is only about 35GB with remaining 200+ GB for deleted items. The Seeding across the WAN for each DB is taking around 36 hours.

Hence, we are considering whether we can purge the "Deleted Items (dumpster)" which will become White Space within the DB. So, each database will become like 35GB data and 215GB as "White Space".

What I would like to know is whether "Seeding a new Passive copy" actually "Transmit Whitespace data" across the WAN or will it only transfer 35GB of data. I understand that irrespective of this, the new passive copy will occupy 250 GB; The query is whether 215GB of white space will get transmitted across the WAN or only 35GB will get transmitted as part of the SEEDing process.
