Hi,
we have set up a new Exchange 2010 server for our client who used to have an Exchange 2003 server. The 2010 server will operate a few weeks before we will upgrade to Exchange 2016.
I have tested the migration in a test environment so far. When I shut down the old Exchange 2003 server, the clients are unable to connect to Exchange because Outlook 2010 does not trigger autodiscover once it has lost connection to the now-nonexistent server. I have tried adding a CNAME record to the DNS in order to redirect the clients to the new server, which works, but the clients get a message about an invalid certificate.
Is there any way to trigger Autodiscover on an existing Outlook profile and account to update the server information?
Best regards,
Julian
