Hi,
I'm currently migrating from 2003 to 2010. I plan to run 2010 in coexistance with 2003 for a while.
I have ran through the exchange 2010 setup all well and everything went good.
Client Access, Mailbox and Hub Transport are all on one server (2010)
And of course, my old exchange 2003 on another server.
Everything is on one domain, one ad site etc etc.
I just can't seem to get them talking to eachother for mail receive/send.
I successfully migrated a test mailbox with data from 2003 - 2010.
The error i'm getting is;
Server 2003.domain.local is a remote server to which server 2010MAIL is trying to send messages but no 'Host' records of server 2003.domain.local can be obtained from any DNS servers server 2010MAIL uses. This may be causing message backups in the queue.
This really confuses me, as i can ping 2003.domain.local from 2010MAIL with no issues, and vice versa. The routing group connector is also visible in 2003.domain.local's ESM. (I just can't view or edit it due to it needing a later version of ESM).
DNS Records are set up fine, as proved with the ping to the name.
I'm stuck at a dead end here and would really appreciate any ideas anybody has. Any information i can give.
Thanks in advance, Martyn
