Shared Mailbox (Online) freezing Outlook - Exchange error event 9877

Hello,

We have a team of 4 people working on a shared mailbox. (By default shared mailboxes are not being cached.)
Sometimes this mailbox becomes unresponsive and freezes Outlook (2016).
Restarting Outlook fixes the issue until they click on the shared mailbox again.

This issue lasts for a good 10 minutes until it goes away by itself.
It can last hours, days or even weeks before it happens again. There doesn't seem to be a set interval for this problem.

What I do notice is that each time event 9877 is logged 5 to 10 minutes before the people report the issue.

Content Indexing function 'CISearch::EcGetRowsetAndAccessor' received an unusual and unexpected error code from MSSearch.

Error Code: 0x80041606 

The error has occured for all our mailbox databases in the past.

The error has occurred for all our mailbox databases in the past. But only 1 team is currently reporting issues with a shared mailbox. (1 mailbox also had this problem, but this one is no longer being actively used.)

Can the issue be related to the Indexing error?
If yes, can we fix something server side? I would rather not have caching enabled for shared mailboxes as we have had our issues with that in the past.
We are running Exchange Server 2010 Standard SP3 RU22 (Build: 14.03.0411.000).
