unfortunately all my exchange servers (HUBCAS, Mailbox, Edge) are using windows 2008 and are sp1
i am planning to move all them to 2008 R2 and exchange 2010 SP2
as u know, there is no in-place upgrade path for win 2008 to 2008 R2
so i should install new operating systems
can you please help me with the best and fastest method with full safety and minimum downtime to do this?
I have two mailbox servers equipped with DAG, three CAS (two of them are also HUB and in an array using NLB and third one serving external clients and is not HUB) and also two edge servers
most of all i am worried about HUBCAS servers ! should the Array break, a 2008 R2 comes in and one of the 2008 windows exit from array ?
what about DAG ?
how to behave old servers ? just take them out or uninstall exchange completely from them ? how to make sure that nothing remains about them on exchange servers and ...
when i think about all this, i feel a bad headache :)
