When trying to send out bulk emails from our exchange 2010 server, I receive the following bounce back error when trying to send the email to email addresses from with our own organization:
From: Mail Delivery Subsystem <MAILER-DAEMON@generic-host.com>
Date: November 6, 2012, 12:29:23 AM CST
To: <Reports@ourdomaina.com>
Subject: Mail Delivery Subsystem - Returned Mail
The message was undeliverable due to an error in receiving system.
Listed are all the recepients with appropriate explanation from remote system
on the reasons, why the message could not be delivered:
Email: user@ourdomaina.com
Reason: Domain was not resolved and there are no alternative gateways. Impossible to send
We have a single server that is running all the services, this email went out in the morning when email traffic is at a minimum. Not sure why we would get this response on an internal email. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Also, we do get this message on emails going out of our domain to clients, so at first I thought it was due to the fact that their servers were not responding but not internal changes the situation.
Thank you,
Billy
