Appreciate your guidance on the following.
We have activated POP3 access for one mailbox in Exchange 2010 SP1 which will be used by the respective user from different IP addresses. We need to restrict the IP addresses on which user could connect to Exchange Server with POP3 to access his mailbox.
Checked with our Network/Security Colleagues to restrict at Firewalls/Security Appliances. Got a reply that this would be tedious for them to control. Hence, we have been advised to restrict the IP address with Exchange Servers.
The important note is that the POP3 access is disabled for the other mailboxes by default.
