We have Exchange 2010 SP2. DAG is configured with 3 servers, two in site A and one in site B. Site B is dual connected via a 10Mbps MPLS and a 100Mbps VPN connection through different providers.
Our original configuration only had a single NIC enabled in each DAG server. Over the weekend, we enabled a 2nd NIC on each server and configured them as a replication network. We disabled replication the MAPI network. The two servers in site A are using the replication network, but logs are shipping over the MAPI network to Site B according to "Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus -ConnectionStatus"
We have suspended and resumed the database multiple times, but cannot get it to switch over to the replication network for Site B. I have confirmed that the servers can communicate with each other and we have added an "Any" rule to our firewall between the two sites. I ran a netmon trace on the primary mailbox server and I can only see cluster traffic (port 3343) over the replication VPN.
Any thoughts on what could be preventing replication from using the replication network. I plan on restarting the replication server after hours to see if that triggers any change, but since the local communication in Site A switched over without doing this, I'm guessing the traffic to Site B won't be affected.
