I have Thunderbird users who recently migrated over from a different server platform to Exchange 2010. The had been using the "tag" feature in Thunderbird to flag and categorize their email. Since their move to Exchange 2010, these flags no are no longer stored on the server. this means that users who have their mail set up on multiple computers cannot see the tag information ubiquitously across all machines to which they synch their email accounts.
I have found that, in order to support these tags, Exchange IMAP needs to allow the PERMANENTFLAG "\*".
Currently the only PERMANENTFLAGS supported by Exchange IMAP are \Seen \Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Draft $MDNSent
how do I add the \* PERMANENTFLAG to Exchange 2010 IMAP so this feature is once again supported for my recently migrated users?
