Upgrade SBS Exchange to MSEX2010 in NEW domain sama LAN

Greetings,

I inhereted a little messed up configuration.

I have and OLD SBS 2003 server that is hosting Exchange SBS 2003 and old AD and old security domain name that we do not authenticate against anymore.. I also have NEW W2k8 server that is my current security domain controller and is hosting AD for all my current users and computers. Obviously there is no trust between OLD and NEW servers thus no trust between domains. To access emails we try to keep usernames and passwords on the OLD server same as on the NEW security database.

The time has come and I decided to retire SBS and its Exchange. I deployed new W2k8 STD server as a member of my NEW (current) domain. I anticipated that the new server will not be aware of OLD domain. But it is. and it gives me a whole bunch of errors at readyness check.

1. There is a 2000 Exchange server running within the organization.
2. The AD Schema is not up-to-date and this user account is not a member of Schema Admins...
3. Exchange organization is not in native mode. Use Exchange server management console to upgrade to native mode.

-1. There si no 2000 Exchange in my organization

-2 and -3  make sense but I don't want the new server to aware of the old one since it is not in the same security domain.

I even blocked communication to the old server in WindowsFirewall to OLD server but I guess my NEW domain knows about OLD server and somehow associates itself with it.

Please advise.
