Hopefully this is just me being stupid but my physical database sizes don't match up to the mailbox sizes in a big way.
e.g.
Server1 - Total of database sizes - white space = 572.5GB. Total of mailboxe sizes + dumpsters = 369GB
Server2 - Total of database sizes - white space = 292GB. Total of mailbox sizes + dumpsters = 187GB
We do e-mail shortcutting using EMC SourceOne on a weekly basis but that should have been reflected in the white space I would have thought.
I realise there will be some internal database overhead for the tables, internal indexes etc. but not 100's of GB's worth.
Any idea what is wrong or where I might be going wrong in my calculations?
Thanks
Neill
