HI All,
Just some background info, we are running:
- Exchange 2010 SP2 latest rollup
- Outlook 2010, all the latest patches
- Windows server 2003 with terminal services
- OWA 2010
We have just had a user this morning who has reported that a vast majority of his e-mails prior to today, have had their attachments removed and replaced with ATTxxxxx.txt files.
I know in some cases these can be generated by Apple devices sending e-mail, but this is not the case, as he has definitely had the attachments previously, they have only just been replaced.
It seems to be for all Excel/Word documents, and some but not all PDFs.
The contents of the txt file are along the lines of "The attachment (BLAH BLAH BLAH), has been manually removed.
We don't have any 3rd party software that would behave in this manor, so just wondering if anyone knows of anything in exchange that goes back through old e-mails and strips off attachments?
The user has found that this appears to be the case in both Outlook 2010, and also OWA.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Eds
