Dependency Services of Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology Service Cannot Start Automatically

Hi everyone,

I have an issue that related Exchange Services.

We have migrated Exchange Server 2003 to Exchange Server 2010. Also from a HP Server to Dell R710 Server with 2 CPU and 32Gig Memory. The thing is, this server is almost once a week restarting itself. My real problem is when it is restarted, only 3 Microsoft Exchange services are starting normally. 2 of them is hanging as "Starting" which are Microsoft Exchange Information Store and Active Directory Topology Services. But after waiting a while, these 2 services are starting normally. There is no failure on that but none of the other Exchange services are not starting (which are the dependencies of Active Directory Topology Service) even if their Startup type is "Automatic".

From the beginning, we have also set up Teaming on Broadcom Network Adapters (Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 4). First, only 1 of the cables was connected. Then I hoped it will solve the problem if I connect 4 of them to the network but no use.

I suspected that IPv6 address was not given static before and DNS had some problem for that, so I gave a static IPv6 address which addresses my IPv4 one but there is no use again.

Honestly, I suspect from Broadcom teaming but why the dependencies are not trying to start themselves once the AD Topology service is started? Also, there is no special about teaming configuration which we did. It is almost at default setting (Smart Load Balancing and Failover). Can it kick a restart the server itself?

I know there are 2 issue on this problem but at least I just want to solve one of them.

Thanks for your help and suggestions...

Melih
