ExDeploy Pre-Questionnaire

Hello. We are migrating from one Exchange 2003 server to one Exchange 2010 server. We have about 75 mailboxes. We have one shared calendar. All users are on Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010. At this time, we have these questions:

The first question in the ExDeploy pre-questionnaire asks “Are you using Outlook Web Access in your organization?” We are not at this time, but we plan to use Outlook Web App and Outlook Anywhere, and probably ActiveSync with Exchange 2010. Should we answer “yes” to this question even though we are not actually using Outlook Web Access at this time as it will lead us down the right set of tasks and sequence of tasks (ie applying for, purchasing, and properly installing a certificate, adjusting DNS, etc…) to implement Outlook Web App as we migrate. Is this the correct choice to make in this situation as we have so briefly described it?

Because of the one shared calendar, should we answer “yes” in the ExDeploy pre-questionnaire when it asks “are we planning to use public folders”? Do we have to use public folders to accommodate one shared calendar? We understand that Microsoft wants administrators to move away from public folders, but we really don’t want to implement SharePoint at this time (will in the future), just to accommodate one shared calendar.

In the ExDeploy pre-questionnaire when it asks “Can you move all users to Exchange 2010 at once?” - we cannot move all users to Exchange 2010 at once, however we do not use Outlook Web access, and we do not use Outlook over HTTPS or ActiveSync (at this time). We do not think we need to do the “legacy domain” configuration with our DNS. Should we answer yes to the “Can you move all users to Exchange 2010 at once?” if all we will be doing is moving a few mailboxes a night? We think this might cut down on the number of tasks we will need to perform as we migrate.

Thank you for your feedback and time.
