Hi Everyone,
Thanks in advance to all those who would reply either with a solution or with further questions
I need help in Managing Exchange 2010 Org. Remotely
Exchange Version: Exchange 2010 SP2
Exchange Servers: 2 Mailbox (DAG), CAS Array (2 Servers in Array), HUB
OS: Windows 2008 R2
Scenario: We (ABC) are into Remote Infrastructure Management Services (RIMS). We (ABC) provide Remote Infrastructure Support to Client (XYZ)
Issue: Until now, infrastructure was managed by remotely logging on to each & every server (AD & Exchange routinely). We connect to Corporate Network of Client (XYZ) using VPN. Now I am sure everyone would agree, is not a good practice to Login to servers & everyone will frown at me when I would say even Helpdesk has access to all servers
Now I want to limit Helpdesk's access on AD & exchange:
AD: Thanks to Remote Server Administration Tools & Delegate Control feature in AD that helped, firstly by preventing Helpdesk logon to DC directly & then by limiting their functionality (It wasn't as easy as it sounds, because we use machines of ABC Domain & connect to DC of XYZ Domain)
Exchange: I AM STUCK HERE
WHY ?
Ans: We use Machines that are in ABC Domain. How do I Install Exchange Management Tools for Exchange of Client (XYZ) ???
Configuring Pre-requisites, Management Tools Pre-Requisites & Organization Pre-Requisites failed. Just Language Pre-Requisites Passed (isn't that Great :P)
PLEASE HELP ! ! !
