We have found that since moving from Exchange 2007 to 2010 SP2, POP3 is not retrieving both the plain text and HTML versions (via multipart/alternative) for HTML only messages. Our ticketing system requires the plain text version. It is only ever returning the text/html content type.
We have done both:
1) Set the POP3 retrieval setting on the CAS to "HTML and alternative text" (as well as trying just Text). After restarting pop3 service, this has no effect. Still getting text/html content type and html in the body.
(described here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg491244(v=exchg.80).aspx)
2) Set the pop3 retrieval method on the mailbox to use "HTML and alternative text" (as well as trying just Text). Still getting text/html content type and html in the body.
Exchange 2007 pop3 will return multipart/alternative with text/plain as well as text/html.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone run into this?
Thank you in advance!
