Hi All
Since our migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010 SP1 we have an issue when our users need to open more than one email account at a time in a browser.
It would appear that now users are not able to do this. As soon as you try to open a shared or another users account that they have permissions to it opens into the same Window as your logged in account and not allowing to you view your account and then other in a tabbed browser session.
We have found a workaround for this and it's to use the "New Session" option in the file menu, but this is a pain as it opens more than one browser screen where as before it would be able to open accounts in the same browser session but in separate tabs.
Users are finding this frustrating. The only real reason I can see for this is with Windows 8, Internet Explorer 10 App seems to only function in one window and does not allow for tabbed browsing. Surely this is the minority and changing something so fundamental in the OWA's functionality is nuts!
Has anyone found a work around or fix for this?
We get the message when you try to open an account in another tab:
There was a problem opening your mailbox. You may have already signed in to Outlook Web App on a different browser tab. If so, close this tab and return to the other tab. If that doesn't work, you can try:
- Closing your browser window and signing in again.
- Deleting cookies from your browser and signing in again.
