One of the departments in my organization runs 4 different shared calendars. We run exchange 2013 and Outlook 2013. All 4 mailboxes are on the same DB and located at the same site. All users run Outlook in Cached mode, it is a GPO setting and cannot be changed by users.
For reference, I will call the mailboxes A, B, C, and D. The issue we are having is this, They can copy\drag events from A to B, and from B to A. They can copy from C to D and from D to C. They cannot copy from A or B to C or D, and they cannot copy from C or D to A or B. The error received is "Cannot copy the items. Changes made to the item were lost due to a reconnect with the server."
I have combed through permissions In Exchange, AD, and Outlook, I have compared properties in Exchange and AD, I have made sure that I have full control, I have made myself owner of all 4 calendars, nothing works and there is nothing that stands out that would cause this.
I performed further tests with 3 more shared calendars I have access to, we will call them E, F, and G. I am able to copy between C, D, E, F, and G from any of those to any of those, but I cannot copy from any of those to A or B, and I cannot transfer from A or B to any of the other 5.
More investigating and digging to try to find any differences or similarities between all 7 calendars and still unable to find any smoking guns.
Last bit of testing, I decided to see how all 7 would interact with my own calendar. I can freely copy from my calendar to all 7 shared calendars, and from all 7 shared calendars to my own calendar.
At this point, I am at the end of my rope, I have no clue why A, and B will not play with any of the other shared calendars. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Really appreciate any help I can get on this.
OH, one last thing, all the tests above are trying to drag and drop, or copy and paste. I am able to Shift\drag from A and B to any of the other calendars, and from any of the others to A and B. That moves the event though, the need to be able to copy the event.
