Good Morning
Starting this week i have seen an unusual problem in our Exchange 2010 Structure. I am seeing the Free Disk space of our Exchange Databse LUN decrease by 80gb a day. I cannot find out where/why this is happening. We are running 2 Physical MBX Servers in a DAG with 28 Databases total. We have the databases split between the 2 physical machines (Odds/Evens). Last week we had approximately 1.8TB Free space. Monday morning i came in to 800gb free! Since i have watched it decrease hourly and in the last couple of days it has decreased a total of 80GB.
I have ran a Get-mailboxstatistics for Top 100 users in the morning and late in the afternoon. compared the 2 and i am not seeing a noticeable increase. I also re-ran for Top 200 and i am not seeing anything there either.
Catalog files seem to be where they should be at about 10% of the DB size.
we have been running 2010 for a while now and this was never an issue until recently. the last thing that was done was the 2010 structure was updated to 14.02.0318.001
I have installed EXMON as well and took a look and i cant see anything unusual here as well. Backups are all running fine and log truncation is happening. i am not seeing a increase in log sizes to alert me to someone sending/receiving causing the data loss.
i am not sure what else to do here. Currently my MBX01 server is at 895gb free which holds our odd number databases and public folders. this is staying someone stable. the MBX02 server is dropping in free space alot quicker. currently it is down to 711gb free space. it was 789gb free yesterday at this time.
Any help would be extremely helpful
