Hi All
Am in the process of adding 2 additional copies for exchange 2010 pf DBs one in the same datacenter and another in remote site that is over a T3 connection.
Data of about 15 GB took like 3 hours to replicate(going by TotalItemsize taken using get-publicfolderstatistics) on the datacenter. However during the smae time only 7 GB of data got replicated in remote site, WAN doesnt seem to be the bottleneck, as I could see the transport server's queue in the local datacenter draining to zero in about an hour.
However the hub servers in remote server as for DR purpose only and are not as hefty as the primary one, so am OK with it processing slowly, as also evidenced by high number of queue length as I type its about 3000 and reducing, but datacenter is already replicated.
Question is if I change the replication interval to a scheduled time - I assume it replicates it all time during that time frame - is it going to put more pressure on the remote site.
AddReplicaTOPFRecursive.ps1 - My understanding is that it simply adds the servers in replica list for the folders we say. So does the replication work per DB schedule or does it get flushed all at once.
If it doesnt flush, then we would be better leaving the replication interval to 15 minutes so that data comes in "Bursts", and let the DR site process it in its own pace, rather than flushing it all at once.
Thanks
