I'm running into an issue with uninstalling Exchange 2010 from a Server 2008 R2 (non SBS environment).
I'm not finding much on the error or figuring out how to fix it. Anyways when it runs through the checks it failed with:
"Setup encountered a problem while validating the state of Active Directory: "SVR1.domain.local" isn't a fully qualified domain name (FQDN). Please provide a valid FQDN. For example: 'svr1'."
The thing is that is the correct FQDN!! It resolved via DNS by the server name, the fqdn, and it is pointing to the correct domain controller. There is only one domain controller in this site. DNS is running and the server is looking at itself for dns which is active directory integrated.
I'm having no errors with group policies, logging in, and anything AD related. I'm not sure where to go next.
