HELP- Can't Send/Receive in Exchange Lab

Problem: I can not send internet email or Receive internet email -

I setup an internet Send-Connector using dns as well as trying to relay through AT&T with no luck
I added anonymous perms to the default receive connector
I added only 1 MX record for the CAS/HUB 192.168.1.83 on the only DC in DNS

I currently have GoDaddy set with my external domain of

myXXX.net with the following entries in godaddy

@ = 107.X.X.X
mail = 107.x.x.x  This is my internet IP

I added myxxx.net as an Accepted domain - authoritative in my org

I am a beginner at dns so not sure if I need more MX records of external domain and where?
Do I open ports 25 only on my router pointing to CAS/HUb or DC, I think CAS/HUb..but tired?
DO I HAVE to relay through ISP?  How can i find out the correct at&t smtp server?
Internal email works fine of course, please help... can't sleep over this.  Need this to study for my test.
