GAL is showing contacts not present in AD

Hi guys!

I've a problem with GAL synchronization.. My infrastructure is composed by 3 domains:

domain A is Windows 2003 and provides only user accounts,

domain B is Windows 2003 and provides only mailboxes (exchange 2003) with the accounts from domain A associated to each mailbox as External Account,

domain C is Windows 2008 R2 Sp1 and provides accounts and mailboxes with Exchange 2010 SP1 RU5.

There is a user migration in progress from domain A/B to domain C. Domain C has more that 100 sites with at least 1 DC and 1 Exchange (Hub+Cas+Mbx for each site)

I've a problem in the GAL (the GAL is opened from Outlook 2010 with a domain C mailbox configured - with cached mode enabled) because it is showing 2 entries for the same person: 1 is the new one from the new domain (correct), the other is the one that belongs to the old domain. But in both old domains (A and B) the user account and its associated mailbox for this person have been already deleted. In the new one there is only the user account mail enabled.

If I uncheck the cached mode, I see only the correct entry, the second one disappear. If I re-enable the cached mode, the wrong one will came back in the GAL...

So the question is: why GAL is showing the second entriy? Where can I find this entry?

Any suggestion is appreciated!

Thanks!
