search mailbox in receovery database

I have restored a database to a Recovery Database. I need to search one of the mailboxes in that Recovery database for traffic to/from a specific email 

I usually do this with ECP. but since I cannot restore the mailbox to a production database is there anyway to run the search from the recovery database? 

I have tried using search-mailbox but havent been successfull at it.
