I am unable to install the Office 2010 Filter Pack in my pre-production lab environment. I get an immediate pop-up:

The Installation of this Package Failed
This is a new installation of Windows Server 2008 R2 on VMWare. all latest updates were applied to the server.
The setup.log file says:
