We discovered that you cannot delete or move folders from a shared mailbox if they contain sub-folders. A message is displayed "Cannot monve the items. Cannot copy this folder because it may contain private items" There are no private items in the folders.
Environment:
- Exchange 2010 Sp1
- Outlook 2010
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a Shared mailbox and assign the user full access.
- Have the user add the shared mailbox as a an additional mailbox. Account Settings>More Settings> Advanced tab. "Open these additional mailboxes"
Within the shared mailbox
- create "Folder 1"
- Inside "folder1" create a subfolder called "Folder2"
- attempt to move or delete "Folder1"
There are a couple post discussing this topic but no solution or declaration that is is by design. Please let us know if there is a work around for this.
