Environment is: Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 migration with Outlook 2010 clients.
When the mailbox was on the ex 2003 server, and a plain text email was sent with a link to a pdf report on an internal server (UNC path included as\\servername\filelocation\file.pdf) the link was hyperlinked so that the user could click to be redirected to the file.
Migrated the mailbox to 2010 server. No changes on the client side, and the same email the UNC paths are not hyperlinked and not clickable.
If the same user is sent a plain text email with a path to IP address (\\192.168.10.123 ) it is hyperlinked. Likewise with a web address.
Log into OWA and the email with UNC has the links that are hyperlinked.
Users that are still on Ex2003 server still have the UNC links hyperlinked.
Is there a setting in Exchange 2010 that will allow UNC paths to hyperlink for plain text emails?
