Co-existance of Exchange 2003 and 2010. I have not performed the install as of yet but performing the necessary prerequisites. At this point we have exchange 2003 (CAS/HT/Mailbox on single server) and the 2010 Exchange will be single server also. All email comes in through our ironport email security appliance before email is delivered to exchange, OWA (HTTPS) is proxy through an apache server 2.2 and then to the 03 Exchange server. I understand that I have to add an smtp route (port 25) in the ironport so mail will be sent to the new 2010 exchange along with the 2003 server. OWA will be a problem as I have no experience with apache web server. I have read that you can configure apache to support multiple SSL sites on a single IP address (http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/opensource/configure-apache-to-support-multiple-ssl-sites-on-a-single-ip-address/987 Will I need to do this or will the configuration of the OWA in exchange 2010 make the configuration of the apache server not needed? Ie….added internal dns entries of the legacy.domain.com and the webmail.domain.com along with the new cert with the 3 SAN values that I need to install. Any help or direction will be greatly appreciated.
