We have an Exchange 2010 SP2 environment. We have a public folder DB whose adsi records are gone and not showing up in the EMC. This happened after a power failure.
The edb file and the log files are still in their respective folders. How can I get this Public Folder DB back online?

i am running exchange 2010 on a virtual Machine, 2008 r2 64 bit server
when i log into the machine with the domain\administrator account i cannot check for or apply updates to the server
if i log in as myself now i can check for updates and apply them.
why is my account able to do so but the admin account cannot

First of all, i would say that I have no skill on exchange :)
I read a lot of topics but none answer to my problem.
i've got 2 differents forests:
i have a Forest trust between this 2 forest.
The idea was to provide a mailbox on the Forest B for users from domain A.
I propose Linked mailboxes but the idea was rejected by the management.
We finally decided to apply Full Access delegation + send as permission on mailbox from domain B for the equivalent user in Forest A.
I set a local autodiscover and change add the registry keys.
The autodiscover works fine when I use automatic seting test of Outlook.
The problem is that I cannot view the free/busy information from other users, even if I have a full access permission on the mailbox + trust.
When I open a session with the Forest B account on the Domain A, the free/Busy appears.
I think that it's a right problem.
Can you please help me?

We migrated from Exchange 2003 to 2010 several months ago. I've had a couple of reports from some people not being able to modify delegate permissions. So from some investigation into mailbox accounts I am receiing the above error whenever I add, then manage 'Full Mailbox Permissions'.
Having searched on here I've noted and performed the followijg actions
The error 'Some controls aren't valid - Changes in the user/group........' happens for either migtated or new accounts.
I have checked the alias for spaces
Rebooted the Exchange Server
None of the above has stopped the error so does anyone have anty further idea?

If we do not accept or decline a meeting in Exchange 2010 we get a tentative meeting posted to our calendar. SOme users have noticed these tentative meetings have gone away after a period of time. Would they be automatically removed from from Exchange by some process or setting?

When attempting to fix the issue using this cmdlet

I want to use powershell cmdlet to search emails which meet the situation :
search those emails only if the emails with attachments or the mail size more than 5M
But I want to search these emails at a time and no need to specify any key word about the attachment.

As i wasn't able to find the answer on the internet, technet is my last hope for a solution on that problem.
One of my clients wants to secure its internal OWA (Exchange 2010) with a certificate. They do have a Certification Authority, but this one is on a Windows Server 2008 R2Standard Edition! So there's no certificate templates available.
Does anyone have a clue to generate a certificate and enroll it so that the OWA will be secured?

I have just taken on a customer, for whatever reason (a server failure caused by their previous guy uninstall an Exchange role on a live environment) they have two Servers:
MX1: MBX, HT
MX2: MBX, HT, CAS
There are only 11 users so I want to consolidate everything back to MX1. Upon changing the mail flow to only go through MX1, clients sending mail outbound doesn't work. If I set it back to the previous configuration, all the messages clear and are delivered. They aren't showing up in any queues, what I think is happening is they are trying to deliver to MX1 and then route outbound.
Is there a way to tell which server the clients are trying to send their mail to?

I have a user who's account is sending emails every few minutes to multiple users. I'm assuming the device the user sent the email from is stuck in the outbox.
The issue is the user is on vacation and we can't get in contact with her. We're running outlook 2010 and Exchange 2010 SP1. Is there something I can run from exchange that would help me resolve this issue?

We are migrating mailboxes from Exchange 2007 to 2010. Exchange 2007 still has Public folders, but our Exchange 2010 doesn't. Now I see in see that mailboxes that have been moved to Exchange 2010 still make contact to the old 2007 public folder.
The only way I have been able to fix this so far, is to recreate the Outlook profile on the client pc. Is there another way to fix this? We have thousands of clients, deleting all profiles would be horrible.
Exchange 2010 I have two domains. enq@domain1 has its own Mailbox; the enq@domain2 goes to a user called Sarah. The problem in which I am having if anyone sends an email to enq@domain2 the email goes into the enq@domain1 Mailbox but is still addressed to Sarah. The exchange routing log see’s the recipient as enq@domain1.
Has anyone got any ideas on this? I have checked to make sure that only sarah has theenq@domain2.

We are using exchange 2010 SP2.
We have some external users which use now pop3 to download their email messages from our exchange 2003.
I need to put a solution in place so these users can be migrate to exchange 2010.
I'm looking for some reverse proxy which also does ldap authentication.
A cas server in dmz is not supported so that is not an option for me, also looked at forefront 2010 but no authentication for pop3.
Anyone any recommendation what I can use?
